Function bands can make or break an event. Hired to provide background music, they work with the host in order to keep things going. They generally play covers but should also be able to play the music of whatever groups are in the area. A good function band should have a wide repertoire based on classics, cultural basics, and popular music and be ready to play them at a moment’s notice.
As noted a function band helps keep a function going. This means having the ability to sense the mood of the group in question and adjusting the music being played in order to maximize the enjoyment of the crowd. Combined with an ability to work with the person putting on the event, a good function band can make an event something to really remember for all of those attending.
