Keep Camping Food Fresh In An Ice Cooler

Campers are used to having simple food knowing that the conditions are not quite favorable for complex dishes in the mountains. Many will just open a can and eat from there. Some will boil water and add ramen noodles. Others will rehydrate freeze-dried food.

If you are craving for better dishes, then you need to figure out ways to take them there without spoiling. This might be possible through the use of plastic or Styrofoam coolers. Put buckets of ice inside so that fish, chicken, pork, beef, or seafood can stay fresh for days.

You could also use an ice cooler backpack which is much easier to carry on your shoulders. Many of these look like regular backpacks with external pockets for extra storage. You wouldn’t know that they had a special purpose until you look inside and realize that there is a waterproof lining that also keeps everything insulated.
