Wedding Preparation Photography: 3 Tips For A Successful Shoot

Wedding preparation photography might seem like a daunting task, with all the wedding planning and wedding day preparations before the wedding. This article will provide three tips for avoiding wedding photographer stress!

1) Be Prepared: Preparation is critical if you want to have a successful shoot! Research the wedding venue in advance, check the weather forecast, and be sure you know where everything is on location so there are no surprises.

2) Get Creative: Don’t go into this thinking; it needs to be formal or posed. It is more likely that these special moments will happen unexpectedly during unplanned shots than anything else. Of course, we still need some posed photos of the bride and groom getting ready and group shots of the wedding party and family members.

3) Have Fun with It: They will likely be the only wedding preparation photos the couple will get, so let them enjoy their time together before everything becomes hectic. Even if they turn out a little bit silly (which is okay!), I promise these pictures will make for some great memories down the road.

The wedding preparation photography session is about telling the story of the wedding day from start to finish. This should be fun and exciting, not stressful or intimidating.
