The Best Stretching Exercises For Kids

There is a variety of stretching exercises for kids that can be done to help children relax and lengthen their muscles.  Some of the best stretches for kids include the following:

-The Child’s pose: Lie on your back with your palms resting flat on the floor, legs bent at 90 degrees. Place your head and torso off the ground; arms stretched overhead. Hold for a few seconds, then slowly lower your body back to the starting position.

-The cat stretch: Lying on your stomach with both feet flat on the floor, hands behind your head, lift your hips and upper body until you’re in a seated position with legs extended straight out in front of you. Hold for 30 seconds before lowering back down to the start position.

-Another great stretch is to have your child sit on the floor with their legs bent in front of them, then fold their legs up towards their tummy so that both knees are resting on the top of their stomachs.
