BPA free products are a smart choice for those concerned with health. BPA stands for Bisphenol A. It has been used since the 1960s in both poly-carbonate plastic and epoxy resin. This kind of plastics is commonly used in food containers and water bottles both reusable and disposable. Epoxy resins are used to coat the inside of tin cans, water supply lines, bottle tops and dental sealants. It was discovered that BPA used in this manner can leech into the food or water and then absorbed into our system.
Unfortunately, studies have revealed there are a host of negative side effects associated with the chemical. Increased blood pressure has been noticed in adults. The brain and prostate of children and infants and fetuses can be negatively impacted. There are also reports of behavior issues in addition to infertility and hormonal imbalances in women and men.
