The bottle’s label can tell you a lot about the wine and one thing to look for is the letters AOP or AOC, both of which verify that the wine is of good quality and comes from a major grape growing region. Finally don’t assume that expensive wine is always better; in France a perfectly good red wine can be purchased for between about six and ten dollars.
