Organic foods are seen by a lot of people as healthier than most produced foods, given the general lack of pesticides and artificial ingredients. However, finding such a supplier can be difficult, especially in an urban environment. Fortunately, it is not that hard.
For those with local farms, it is just a matter of finding one that does not use fertilizer or other artificial techniques. Mot farms, especially smaller family-owned farms, have no problems pointing out their techniques and some see them as a point of pride. Some are even willing to give guided tours.
In the city, look for co-ops; they usually have a lead on organic suppliers by their very definition. Also, with the increasing number of urban farmers means that there is an increasing number of suppliers out there.
It is just a matter of looking in the right places, but organic foods are easy to find.
