Screen printing is a type of printing method wherein a stencil or a screen is used to apply multiple layers of ink. This printing method is done by hand and needs accuracy and precision. Screen printed shirts utilize this, with the shirts serving as the printing surface. A different stencil is used for each color in order to come up with a final product.
In contrast, digital printing uses a computer in order to print directly on a product’s surface. The ink becomes directly adherent to the fabric surface in digitally printed shirts.
Screen printing has several advantages over digital printing. A thicker layer of ink is applied on screen printed shirts. This leads to vivid and vibrant colors, particularly when used on dark colored shirts. Since screen printing is manually performed, it is also preferred when applying designs on uneven surfaces.
