Nurse Call Systems are used in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted-living centers. They are also often called bell systems or call light systems. These systems provide a direct communication between nurses or caregivers and their patients or residents. They are easy to use and can get patients the care they need immediately with the push of a button. Typically, they have three levels of operation, which are routine, emergency and code or fire. These systems can be wall mounted near the patient’s bed or can be pillow mounted. They feature big buttons, as mic and speaker so patients can communicate with their nurse right away. They have volume control and can be used by patients to control their overhead light and television. These systems are designed to keep patients safe and are a direct safety link between patients and caregivers.
