A family villa in Barcelona will typically save you on having to book two or more hotel rooms. In addition, as your villa will come with a fully equipped kitchen, you can also save on the cost of eating out, although it would be a shame to not sample some of the delicious local cuisine. Keep in mind that to get a villa with its own grounds and perhaps a pool, you will have to stay put of the city centre, although Barcelona has an efficient and cheap public transport system. And there is no shortage of things to see and do in one of Europe’s most popular destinations. Whether you want to relax on the beach, explore the city’s artistic legacy, or marvel at the still unfinished Sagrada Família cathedral, the city is an ideal destination for a long weekend or a few weeks.
