The Appeal Of A Destination Wedding

An estimated 25 percent of weddings are destination weddings, meaning that the couple choose to get married in another location, often overseas. Of course, you don’t have to leave Australia to get married, although if you like the idea of having the ceremony on an exotic beach somewhere, Thailand, South Africa and the Seychelles are all popular destinations. Although a destination wedding is appealing, it will cost more, and you will have the extra time, and complications in getting you and your guests to the venue, and the cost of accommodation. Getting married overseas also generally requires some research into local laws and regulations concerning weddings, and of course you will need to have someone available to actually marry you. However, if you want to make your big day as memorable as possible, the lure of getting married on a far flung beach is hard to resist.
