One of the most prominent fields in the construction industry involves the planning and development of public infrastructures. The roads, bridges, dams, and other structures we depend upon daily are created by a group of civil engineers and construction workers. Civil construction covers a vast array of projects and is an essential part of growth and daily living.
Most of the structures developed by civil construction engineers involve elements such as transport, earth, and water. It takes careful planning and working closely with government and local city and state officials to ensure that all regulations are followed during the development and building process of each structure. Typically there are several companies and hundreds of individuals involved with each project.
The projects taken on by civil project developers and construction companies have a direct effect on all of us. Airports, subdivisions, sewer systems, water retaining structures, and dozens of other structures we rely on are made safe by civil engineers. Without the men and women in this industry, life as we know it would be far less convenient, and definitely less sanitary.
