Walt Disney is well known for blockbuster family movies, a one of a kind theme park, and unique characters. Did you know that once upon a time, Walt Disney also made comic books?! These hard to find pieces of merchandise are true collectors’ items.
Rare Walt Disney comics are difficult to locate, but are most easy to find online. These comics feature stories and cartoons about familiar characters such as Donald Duck and Goofy. Originally, these comics were sold in multi-packs and could be found at drug stores, dime stores, and similar establishments in the 70’s and 80’s. Currently, there are selections of these comic books available on eBay, with both auction and “buy it now” options, and specialty sites that sell collectibles. One may also be lucky enough to find them at a local collector’s shop, which gives them the opportunity to truly assess the quality of the item.
