It’s easy to hire a comedian, whether you need one for a party, work or school event, community fundraiser or anything else. But of course, all comedians are not the same and it’s important to hire the right person. It’s obviously important to get a feel for the comedian’s material; what might be appropriate for an office party may not be suitable for a church social activity or children’s party. And of course, religion, sex and politics are all subjects that nay offend some in your audience. Some comedians specialize in performing at corporate events and have a better idea of what goes down well, and what subjects to avoid. Look for reviews and comments from other customers, and try to get a feel for the types of venue where a comedian typically performs. And looking at video of a comedian’s routine is obviously useful too.
