Billions of people across the globe depend upon their cell phones. They need reception in order to access their device’s core features. Of course, cell towers provide this reception, and thousands of these towers dot the landscape. Not all of these towers are installed on public land, though. Wireless service providers depend on private land owners for towers as well. Fortunately, this means that landowners can install towers on their property and receive passive income from the tower.
Cell tower lease rates vary by country and by specific location. A tower located in a sparsely populated area won’t bring in much revenue. Then again, a tower in a populated area that lacks reception and towers will result in much higher payments. The last thing a person should do is let their land go to waste. They should instead consider a tower lease and reap the benefits.
