Travelling alone comes with several advantages, although some places to travel alone are better and safer than others for the solo explorer. Thailand has long been a destination for mostly younger people travelling alone, and has plenty to see and do, from beaches and jungles to temples and nightlife. Iceland is home to some of the world’s most spectacular scenery, including glaciers and hot springs and has been voted the safest country in the world for several consecutive years.
